I personally hate websites packed with ads, especially those which re-direct you or make any sort of sound. Let’s take for example RlsLog, overall the content is good. I visit it primarily due to it’s regularly updates. But sometimes I feel there is a line on how much visitors can be used.
I have no clue the sort of profits it is generating- I’m sure a nice sum- but i’m sure they are also losing many visitors. I personally hate when I visit such a site from say the University Library. The last thing I need is inappropriate materials being shown which is out of my control.
So, with that in mind I stuck to a policy of I will never touch Re-directs. So, the ad services I am testing out are:
Google-Ads: One of the biggest providers of ads. The best part is I have found I am already seeing money flow.
Ads-Click: I always like ads known as “clouds”, which mix a number of ad words. I find it looks clean, and mixes in well.
I value a sites look- it’s the first impression the visitor will see. It could be compared to clothes you wear in real life- people can judge the type of person you are by your clothes. Over the next few weeks, I will check the progress, and post the results- including the most important- what brings in the most profit!
